Meet Susan Dressler
A Career Was Born!
I have a passion for service. Throughout high school, I volunteered with children with cancer and with emotional troubles. Then I pursued a Master’s in Nursing and Certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from Vanderbilt University. While I loved caring for children, in order to advance career-wise, I moved from providing care into management, which brought me no joy. When considering what I could do and still remain service-oriented, I watched my mother, a most successful real estate agent, at work. She was always on and never seemed to tire. I asked her, “Don’t you ever get tired of working?” and she responded, “When your work brings you pleasure, you don’t ever feel as if it is a burden.” And a career was born! Rather than reinvent the wheel (she is a top producer in sales volume in the Metro Birmingham area), I joined her and underwent extensive training at her side to learn how to practice her way. I am married to Trey Dressler and live in Vestavia Hills with our daughters Anna and Emme Douglas, as well as our rescue, Joc, though I do not know who rescued whom!

I give you the information you need to learn your neighborhood’s market value and allow you to decide how competitive you want to be in selling your house. I don’t just show you what has sold recently. I show you your current competition, as well as the market rejects-those that did not sell while listed. I guide you through the process, from preparing your house to list to closing. I present your house in the most favorable light possible and promote it on the internet with wonderful photographs and creative writing, because the internet is the place buyers are looking, and you often don’t get second chances to capture their attention.
As Your Buyer’s Agent
I represent you with loyalty, enthusiasm and energy! I never try to pigeon-hole you into an area. I listen to your wants and needs and provide you with as much information as I can garner so that your decision- and it will always be your decision- is an informed one. The decision cannot just be about what your head says to you. Before I will believe you have found the right house, I have to see your heart engaged as well.
